TRY BOWLS FUN DAY
The club is hosting a “Try Bowls Fun Day” on Sunday 30 April from 1.00pm to 4.00pm and we look forward to welcoming all sections of the community to come along and try the sport of lawn bowls.
This is a free day with refreshments provided. There will be qualified coaches on hand to help and advise and explain the basics of the game. Shoes and bowls will be provided but we do ask that children wear plimsolls or trainers. The theme is fun while still learning new skills using different activities on the green.
Club coaches have been visiting Newhills PS, St. Stephens’ PS and Rattray PS over the past weeks to coach Primary 6 and 7 pupils. They have really enjoyed the experience and show great potential. It is the hope that Rattray Bowling Club can build up its Junior section to compete against other schools and clubs in the future.
While we hope for families to become involved we also look forward to inviting adults into our club.
Membership for a first year member is only £25 for the year and this includes use of the premises, entry into competitions, social bowling, meals while playing friendly games and the enjoyment of our social events throughout the year. Junior membership is free as is all coaching sessions.
Come along and meet the members and enjoy a free day out in your local community.
